On October 18, 2023, Irène Gonzalez Salgado, former doctoral student in the Symbiose team (under supervision of Mathieu Sperandio et Christelle Guigui) received the Carnot Network's "Partnership led by a young researcher" award for its work with the company NEREUS – Sustainable water recycling : Development of a new nitrogen fertilizer production process using digestate, a by-product of biogas production by methanization.
The ceremony took place as part of the Rendez-vous Carnot, held in Lyon on October 18 and 19, which brings together the French ecosystem of partnership research under the aegis of the Carnot Network.
She also received the Grand Prix Carnot for partnership research on November 16, 2023, at the Grand Forum des Stratégies d'Innovation "Souveraineté technologique et réindustrialisation des territoires", co-organized with the Club de Paris des Directeurs de l'Innovation.
