Congratulations to Laura Sierra Heras, winner of the Starthèse National Prize.
The awards ceremony for the third edition of the Starthèse Challenge took place on November 25, 2025, at the I-Factory on the Lyon Saint-Étienne university campus. This year, 23 winners were honored.
🔬 The Starthèse Challenge is aimed at doctoral students and young researchers who wish to draw on the professional skills acquired during their academic studies to devise a value proposition that could solve a social, environmental, economic, or cultural issue.
His project focuses on yeast-driven DNA assembly. He uses yeast as a platform for assembling large DNA molecules in order to overcome the assembly and regularity challenges of conventional technologies while significantly accelerating the synthesis of large DNA constructs for a variety of applications.
