3, 2, 1, Go! Anthony Carneiro, a PhD student in the I2M team (TBI), is taking part in the regional final of ‘My Thesis in 180 Seconds’ (MT180) on 7 April 2026 at the Théâtre Sorano in Toulouse
His research topic: the design and construction of a new, isolated acetyl-CoA pool for the production of terpenes in the yeast S. cerevisiae
The ‘My Thesis in 180 Seconds’ competition enables PhD students to present their research topic in simple terms to the general public.
Organised by CNRS Occitanie Ouest and the Toulouse Community of Universities and Higher Education Institutions / University of Toulouse, the Toulouse Academy final will bring together 16 candidates from a wide range of doctoral schools in Toulouse. Up for grabs are two jury prizes, including one place in the national final, and one audience prize.
