Actual position and research subject
Bacteria are very adapted to changes in their environment, notably via metabolism regulation. In particular, the metabolism of Escherichia coli can be regulated by post-transcriptional modifications. Acetyl-phosphate (AcP) is an intermediate of the acetate pathway that can modify proteins by phosphorylation or acetylation. My research project aims to understand how AcP controls bacterial metabolism via protein acetylation.
