Research engineer

Actual position and research subject

My work involves the design and development of physical measurement instruments, mainly based on optical techniques, for applications in biology and bioprocess engineering. This includes the conception of custom experimental setups for microscopy, digital holography, and optical tweezers, combined with dedicated data acquisition, control, and automation developed in Python. I support researchers and PhD students in the implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of these experimental devices, from hardware integration to experimental protocols. I also develop Python-based tools for image processing and quantitative analysis. I am also involved in laser safety management and in the quality management of scientific instrumentation, with a focus on measurement reliability, traceability, and experimental reproducibility.
