Actual position and research subject
My research focuses on experimental fluid mechanics, with a particular emphasis on microfluidics applied to biotechnologies (e.g., micro-bioreactors and lab-on-chip systems). I am especially interested in multiphase systems, including microdroplet formation, coalescence, and encapsulation, as well as the role of (bio)surfactants and (bio)colloids at fluid interfaces.
My expertise lies in optical diagnostics using laser-based techniques, including Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), multi-plane telecentric PIV, micro-PIV, stereo-PIV, Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV), and Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF/micro-LIF), as well as bright-field methods such as shadowgraphy.
In collaboration with LAAS (Laboratory for Analysis and Architecture of Systems) and AIME (Inter-University Workshop on Micro and Nanoelectronics), I have also developed custom microfluidic devices (PDMS and glass) tailored for advanced experimental setups.
