A travers l\u2019analyse de cycle de vie d\u2019un mat\u00e9riau de renforcement biosourc\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de fibre de lin, une \u00e9tude a \u00e9tabli les impacts environnementaux de sa production. Ces travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9s par les laboratoires de chimie agro-industrielle (Toulouse INP, INRAE) et Toulouse biotechnology institute (INSA, INRAE, CNRS) du centre INRAE Occitanie-Toulouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019analyse de cycle de vie (ACV) permet l\u2019\u00e9valuation environnementale d\u2019un produit et comprend notamment l\u2019inventaire du cycle de vie (ICV) qui consiste \u00e0 identifier et quantifier tous les flux entrants et sortants, les ressources \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques, les mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res et les transports n\u00e9cessaires pour fabriquer un produit ou dans la mise en place d\u2019un syst\u00e8me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e dans&nbsp;<em>Journal of Cleaner Production<\/em>&nbsp;a permis d\u2019\u00e9tablir la performance environnementale d\u2019un textile technique en lin du \u00ab berceau \u00e0 la porte \u00bb. Cela a notamment consist\u00e9 \u00e0 combler des lacunes sur les donn\u00e9es de l\u2019inventaire du cycle de vie en d\u00e9taillant l\u2019ensemble des processus de la cha\u00eene d\u2019approvisionnement et des coproduits associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la production et transformation de la fibre de lin. Les scientifiques ont \u00e9galement inclus \u00e0 cette d\u00e9marche la valorisation des co-produits (les fibres courtes, les graines, les anas, les flocons et les d\u00e9chets) et un ensemble plus large de cat\u00e9gories d&#8217;impact analys\u00e9es (changement climatique&nbsp;; appauvrissement de la couche d&#8217;ozone&nbsp;; formation de particules&nbsp;; \u00e9puisement des ressources min\u00e9rales, fossiles et renouvelables&nbsp;; etc\u2026), permettant ainsi une meilleure compr\u00e9hension de la performance environnementale de ce mat\u00e9riau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats montrent que les activit\u00e9s agricoles et la production d&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 sont les plus grands contributeurs aux impacts environnementaux du textile technique \u00e0 base de lin et que, en comparaison, les contributions dues aux changements d&#8217;utilisation des terres cultiv\u00e9es sont mineures. De plus pour cette \u00e9tude de cas sp\u00e9cifique, une analyse de sensibilit\u00e9 a montr\u00e9 l&#8217;influence d&#8217;une production enti\u00e8rement fran\u00e7aise pour de meilleurs r\u00e9sultats d&#8217;un point de vue environnemental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour poursuivre l&#8217;incorporation de mat\u00e9riaux biosourc\u00e9s afin de favoriser la mise en \u0153uvre d&#8217;une bio\u00e9conomie, les travaux futurs devraient se concentrer sur l&#8217;optimisation des processus de production de ces mat\u00e9riaux avec pour objectif d&#8217;accro\u00eetre leur comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 sur le march\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inrae.fr\/actualites\/evaluation-environnementale-produits-biosources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read more<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La fibre de lin appara\u00eet comme une mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re appropri\u00e9e dans le d\u00e9ploiement d&#8217;une bio\u00e9conomie, \u00e0 savoir l\u2019\u00e9conomie des bio-ressources.
