La bio-ing\u00e9nierie des interfaces vise donc \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physico-chimiques aux interfaces des mat\u00e9riaux de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 en ma\u00eetriser leurs furtivit\u00e9s et leurs sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s : la furtivit\u00e9 (terme emprunt\u00e9 aux nanoparticules mais s&#8217;appliquant ici aussi aux mat\u00e9riaux massifs) \u00e9tant ici d\u00e9finie comme la capacit\u00e9\u0301 \u00e0 ne pas engendrer de r\u00e9actions ind\u00e9sirables et la sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 \u00e9tant d\u00e9finie ici comme la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 engendrer une r\u00e9action voulue. Les domaines d&#8217;applications de la bio-ing\u00e9nierie de surface s&#8217;\u00e9tendent des biocapteurs in vitro, aux biopuces, \u00e0 la microfluidique, aux biomat\u00e9riaux (implants)&#8230; avec des enjeux importants dans les domaines du biom\u00e9dical, du diagnostic, de l&#8217;agroalimentaire, de l&#8217;usine du futur ou de la surveillance de
