Port\u00e9 par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Naturamole en synergie avec l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me de la <em>Toulouse Biotech Alley<\/em> (les laboratoires Toulouse Biotechnology Institute (TBI) et Toulouse White Biotechnology (TWB) ainsi que le CRITT Bio-Industries) situ\u00e9 sur le campus de l\u2019INSA Toulouse, ce projet ambitionne de substituer la chimie traditionnelle par des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s enzymatiques \u00e9co-responsables. <br> <br>\n\n<strong>Vers la production d&rsquo;esters naturels pour l&rsquo;industrie<\/strong> <br>\n <br>\nCALIPSO vise \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de la fili\u00e8re chimie via le d\u00e9veloppement de proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de catalyse enzymatique en continu pour la production de 8 esters fonctionnels naturels, des mol\u00e9cules \u00e0 haute valeur ajout\u00e9e, utilis\u00e9es dans les march\u00e9s de l\u2019agroalimentaire, la parfumerie et la cosm\u00e9tique. Ces proc\u00e9d\u00e9s alternatifs contribueront \u00e0 la neutralit\u00e9 carbone fix\u00e9e pour l\u2019horizon 2050, pour laquelle un besoin de solutions industrielles \u00e0 la fois performantes, r\u00e9silientes, comp\u00e9titives et vertueuses est indispensable \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle europ\u00e9enne. <br> <br>\n\nEn deux ans, l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe projet a transform\u00e9 ses ambitions en r\u00e9ussites concr\u00e8tes \u00e0 travers trois avanc\u00e9es majeures :\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>La d\u00e9couverte de nouveaux biocatalyseurs :<\/strong> Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une approche bioinformatique, pr\u00e8s de 200 nouvelles enzymes issues de la biodiversit\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rigoureusement s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es puis test\u00e9es. Pour 7 des 8 esters cibl\u00e9s, au moins une enzyme capable de les synth\u00e9tiser a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9e alors que la litt\u00e9rature scientifique ne mentionnait jusqu&rsquo;ici aucune solution enzymatique pour la majorit\u00e9 de ces mol\u00e9cules.<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Des \u00ab\u00a0usines cellulaires\u00a0\u00bb robustes et industrialisables :<\/strong> Quatre microorganismes prometteurs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s comme futurs syst\u00e8mes de production industrielle de ces enzymes innovantes. Les outils d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie g\u00e9n\u00e9tique permettant de les optimiser sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s, valid\u00e9s et pr\u00eats \u00e0 \u00eatre d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s.<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Une efficacit\u00e9 de fixation \u00e0 90 % :<\/strong> Les bases du proc\u00e9d\u00e9 d\u2019immobilisation des enzymes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pos\u00e9es. Sur 12 supports test\u00e9s, les meilleurs permettent d&rsquo;atteindre un rendement de pr\u00e8s de 90 % tout en pr\u00e9servant l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;enzyme.<\/li>\n<\/ul> <br> <br>\n<strong>Cap sur la phase 2 : l&rsquo;optimisation industrielle<\/strong>\n\nTous les voyants sont au vert\u00a0! Le consortium engage d\u00e9sormais la deuxi\u00e8me phase du projet\u00a0orient\u00e9e vers l&rsquo;ing\u00e9nierie des enzymes s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es pour maximiser leurs performances, avant l&rsquo;assemblage final de l\u2019ensemble des briques technologiques pour pr\u00e9parer leur d\u00e9ploiement industriel.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
