Il cible des projets de \u00ab recherche en rupture et \u00e0 haut risque \u00bb, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire des investigations originales fond\u00e9es sur des hypoth\u00e8ses audacieuses dont l\u2019\u00e9tude est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 de r\u00e9elles incertitudes et la possibilit\u00e9 assum\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9chec. En cas de r\u00e9ussite, il est escompt\u00e9 que les r\u00e9sultats obtenus d\u00e9bouchent sur des ruptures scientifiques et technologiques et engendrent des innovations importantes susceptibles de
