This year, the team was composed of 8 students from the University Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier (Master Biotechnologies) and the INSA Toulouse (Biochemical Engineering Department).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This competition brings together 350 teams from all the best schools and universities in the world, leading several thousand students to create biological systems that address societal and environmental issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project focused on high throughput allergy diagnosis. After several months of reflection, research, experimentation and analysis, the team defended the project during the final in Paris from October 26 to 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of these 3 days, the team was awarded a gold medal for the most successful projects as well as 3 nominations for special prizes for the best diagnostic project, the best educational and scientific popularization effort and the best entrepreneurial approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students were supervised by researchers, teacher-researchers and thesis students from the Toulouse Biotechnology Institute (TBI - CNRS \/ INRAE \/ INSA Toulouse) and the Center for Integrative Biology (CBI - CNRS \/ UT3) in Toulouse.
